Is it Spring yet?

Well things have been going very well. Mom and dad got back from Texas. Mom told me that whenever dad would cuss Adam, Leon's youngest son, would look at him and go "Grandpa, No No!" Of course mom and I laughed at hearing this. I got new school pictures from all three boys! They're so cute! I don't know how my brother managed to have such great, cute, wonderful children. I'm very excited to see them all for Christmas when they come out. I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving 2007. My brother Jason had called and was wanting me to come up to see him for Christmas, but North Dakota in December! lol! No! COLD!! I don't do well in this cold weather. I love the spring and fall. Not too hot, not too cold. I'd love to go up to visit Jason but, I remember going up for there wedding and it was so beautiful, but I also remember getting so sick!! Patty, Jason's wife, will be too far along in her pregnancy to travel anywhere, Maybe next summer I can go up and see them. Who knows. Mom has also talked with Helen. She was disappointed that they, or I, didn't come down to see them for Thanksgiving, and was wanting mom and dad, or I, to come down for Christmas, but we've already made the plans for Leon and his family to come here, so mom offered the invite to them, and Helen said she would think about it. Mom said she didn't sound too happy! Helen has always been very hard to please. Destiny, Helen's daughter, turned 11 on December 1st. I sent her a card and $20. I figured it was better then nothing.
Mom and I went to buy some new Christmas decorations the other day, and Tuesday night Scott and I went out to the house for dinner, and to put up the new and some old decorations. She bought a new tree, it's a pre-lit multi-colored tree that is 6.5 feet tall. It looks very night. We didn't finish, Scott has inventory every Tuesday at 9pm, so we went back for that. I'll go out hopefully this weekend, or maybe Tuesday on my day off sometime to finish. Scott also bought a little two foot free, pre-lit with white lights, and bought some little blue bulbs to put on it. He also went crazy with some sno in a can. It was a shock to look in the bathroom mirror and no see anything but white! Oh, men and their simple humor. He also put it on his car windows. I told him if he put any on my car he was buying the car wash! There wasn't any on there though.
I haven't bought really any of my Christmas presents yet! I'm usually so good at buying them so early. I've kinda been slacking a little I guess. I'll get them done, but I don't know when. I don't have any clue what to get Scott, if y'all got any suggestions, let me know!
Uncle Larry, Grandpa P, and Jay and his son, Austin, came out to the house and stayed with mom and dad. They went deer and pheasant hunting. Mom called today and said that dad shot a 14 point buck and a doe. Mom still needs to get her buck for the season, but maybe she'll get it this weekend before the hunters leave. It was good to see everybody!
Work is going really well. Last Monday morning, I went to work not feeling well at all. I even threw up twice while there. I had asked my co-worker, Connie, to do the cooking for lunches since I knew that the smell of the food would make me vomit even more then I already had. Well it was was 4am, and lunches weren't done yet. Connie had fallen asleep on the couch, and I tried to wake her, but couldn't. I was so mad that I took her photo, while sleeping, and called my boss and was like she's asleep and hasn't done anything all night. I'm sick and the only main thing I wanted her to do was lunches and it's 4am and they still aren't done. Julie, Henderson house supervisor, came over and caught her sleeping so Connie was wrote up. She's now working morning at the center. I felt so bad for having done what was done, but I didn't know what else to do. If she had fallen asleep and the lunches and everything else was done I wouldn't have cared, but not doing anything is a different story. I'm a night owl and so me staying awake on a 11pm to 7am shift isn't a problem for me. The only thing that really pissed me off that morning is when Julie came over and Connie got caught her first reaction was well Samantha falls asleep too, which I don't. Julie asked if she turn me in and Connie said "No, cause she's sick and I feel sorry for her." That pissed me off. Yes I know that I'm sick and have no immune system so I get sick very easily, but her feeling sorry for me! I'd like to think that I'm a very strong willed person and just because I'm sick doesn't mean that I lose hope and I never want people to feel sorry for me. If I can't do something for myself then I'll ask for help. I hate when some people get sick and they immediately go into the whole I'm helpless, do everything for me mode. It's sad. I feel more sorry for the people that have to help them out, then the person receiving the service. That's what I love about my job. My friend Ben is a great example. He's legally blind, and he's had cerbal parsal since birth. He's in a wheel chair, and yes he does get assistance from Roy, his personal helper, but everything that he can do he does for himself. He's very strong willed and I admire him. He's one of the greatest friend anybody could ask for.
Well I'm at work right now, and I'm abou to get off so I'm gonna say farewell and I'll be back later! Love and God Bless!
