Sleepless in Scott City

Well, yes I know I haven't updated in a long time, so here goes.
I've been working like crazy lately. Lots of 16 hour shifts. But it's going to make for some awesome checks! I just know in the long run it'll be wroth it. I can get some more bills paid off, and afford to make a trip to Wichita. I'm hoping to come down in October, there's a Jeff Dunham performance, and y'all know I'm a huge fan! I Love Peanut and Walter. Well I love all of them, but those two are the best. I have both of his DVD's and I can quote about every damn word from both of them. I'm just worried that I might not be able to afford to come down, but I'm working on that. Hotel, gas, and food so. I'm just trying to save some so I can come down. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to.
But work is good none the less. I got my package for my tuition reimbursement. The deadline for the fall season is this August 1st. So I think I will just wait and turn it in for submission for the December 1st. deadline. That way I can also be sure of myself and get everything done. It's a rather huge packet and they're really picky about who they allow to get the reimbursement. If there's one flaw they'll reject it. I gotta make sure all my work is 100% or I'm screwed. Plus I want to wait til December because if by some chance I don't get excepted for the reimbursement I want to have the money saved up so I can pay for it myself. I wanna get my CNA!
The Scott County Free Fair is going on. My dad volunteered me to help him during the parade. I got off work Friday morning at 7 and my dad calls me at 7:30 and tells me to come eat breakfast with him and momma at the Broiler. I get there and order biscuits and gravy with two scrabble eggs. It was very good. Then dad told me to go home shower and come back to town to help with the parade. I was like I just finished working a 16 hour shift and now I gotta be in a parade! But instead of arguing I just did it, and besides my dad and I don't get to spend much time together so it was nice to just be able to talk with him. We had the biggest box of damn candy that I've ever seen. Snickers, Reece's, Tootsie Rolls, Dum Dum's, Smarties, Jaw Breakers, Twistlers, and even more. Dad told me to just throw like 5 or 6 pieces at a time. So we started off, dad was driving the Co-Op service wagon and I start throwing the candy. I look over about four or five blocks later at my dad and see him throwing massive hand fulls of candy. I was like so much for 5 or 6 pieces at a time, so I started throwing hand fulls too. I think my dad got more candy in the truck then he was throwing out the window lol! But we still had like 1/4 of candy left my the time we got back to the Co-Op. So then the parade over I figured I could now go home and rest, but nope. Mom and dad wanted me to follow them to Garden for some shopping and lunch. So by the time we got done with lunch, they went to Walmart and I went to the library to get some new books. I talked to Rion a lot that day too. He's so funny. But I went to work that afternoon at 3. I worked yet another 16 hours that day, and got off at 7 pm and drove home. I finally got home at 8 and went straight to bed. First time I'd been to bed since I had gotten up at 11 am Friday. I was beat!
Tonight I volunteered to work a HS shift, 11 to 7. Even though it's my day off. Tuesday through Thursday I got class, so I have to go in a little early each day.
Everything is going well, and I got my next gas bill, YEAH it went down $200!! I was so happy to hear that. Well I'm off to bed again, need to get as much sleep as I can get so my body gets restored, and plus it'll help me tonight to actually be fully rested.
Have a great week! Peece and Love! LOL!

Rumors

Well recently I had some trouble here at work. I went to work Saturday and I normally store my extra drinks and dinner in Dorothy and Katie's fridge. I walked in to do such and Dorothy was sitting in her chair and she told me "Congratulations! Norma, my co -worker, said you're were pregnant." I was caught off guard by this and I open the fridge and Norma walked in and I said "What!?" She said "Norma said you were pregnant." Norma spun around and yelled at Dorothy that she shouldn't repeat everything that she hears and walked out. I then preceded to tell her that I was not pregnant. Then my co- worker started yelling at me that she claimed to be doin' all the work. I didn't want to argue or have that conversation in front of the clients and told her that I didn't mind having the conversation but in the privacy of the office. I felt that it wasn't true or fair. I was so upset by what she had said to and about me that I called my best friend Josh and then I called my boss Barb. I was so upset at what had just happened my hands were shaking and I was crying. She called her supervisor Tina and then called me back to tell me that we were going to have a staff on Monday at 4pm. I then told her I would defineately be there and that I would like not to be in contact with her til then. Sunday I went to the group just down the street until she left and then went back down to Tri- Plex. Monday at our meeting we sat down that addressed the issues. Norma said that she felt she was doing everything to which I replied that she takes everyone but two people to go budget and shopping on mondays and tuesdays. I told her that I help one of the other two on wednesday with budget and shopping, and then I take most of everyone to softball practice for Special Olympics. I told them I normally stay there to watch myself since if it's too hot or there isn't enough people there then they can't practice and they would get done early and would need a ride home and that way I'm already be there to pick them up too. Then I told her on Thursday I do a lot of cleaning, but instead of doing the work for them, I do a lot of the work with them and it might take them an hour to clean the living room, but they are doing it themselves, which is the primary goal of the whole agency. Norma said that she understood that and didn't realize that. Plus I told her I'm only there two full days a week, and that there are other people that work there. I told her I wasn't quite sure if I believed that she did or didn't say that about me being pregnant, but I have read Dorothy's plan and back ground and there's nothing that states she would just make up stories. I told her it hurt me more that someone would say that about me then to tell me that I wasn't do my job well enough. Tina even told me that she didn't understand why I was only a DSA and not a DSM. She said I was over qualified for my current job. I told her I would love love love to be a DSM but living in the sticks and not being able to be on call for the agency, staff, and clients is unfair and if I lived closer and could be available I would apply to be one. My boss then told me that Norma and I are completely different workers with different styles but both dedicated and hard working, and two of her best employees and that I needed to suck it up and work with Norma or transfer to another location. I agreed to try and work with Norma again, but also told them to have my transfer papers ready cause I will not tolerate working with someone that belittles and is backstabbing and the first time I work with her and this happens I'm requesting the transfer immediately. They agreed.
Moving on to a completely different and happier topic now. Last night I had a date with a really great guy named Jeremy, he's an undercover cop. He goes to Walmart, bars, etc. in street clothes and makes sure things are running smoothly. I sorta felt bad cause he called me and told me he didn't want to go and was feeling a little sick, but I told him I had drove an hour for the date, so he agreed to come out and meet me at the movie theatre. We watched The Hulk! Edward Norton is the best Hulk ever! It's a great movie and y'all gotta go see it. He actually put his arm around me and I put my hand on his shoulder for most of the movie. We walked out holding hands, and we went down by the river to talk and get to know each other a little better. I really like him, I hope he calls me. He did write me an email telling he thought about me all night and couldn't wait until our next date. I replied to him asking when that was gonna be and if we go back down by the river to bring a blanket next time, the sand was nice, but it's still all over my car seat. I haven't gotta his reply but he told me he had to work the rest of the week so I'm sure he will.
Josh said the apartment search is underway. His computer crashed so he hasn't been able to write a blog but he will shortly. I told him that Rion and him are newest Odd Couple! He laughed and told me he hadn't thought about that. Y'all know it's true!

Hope everyone has a great week! Later y'all!

Great Memories!

Recently I have had the great opportunity to talk to some old friends, and make a new one. I was on facebook and Max IM'd me, he was in my brothers class. He wanted to know what Leon was and all that. I told him he was fine, lived in Texas, married with 3 kids and would be back this way around Christmas. Then he told me he always thought I was cute, but was always too shy to say anything. I told him I always thought he was cute, but not quite my type. He then asked if I had changed since since high school, and I replied to him to look at my photos and he told me I looked the same and that I had grew a little more, better. He told me he had a few friends that would love to date him, he's in Manhattan. I told him if I ever get that way again we'll go out to Aggieville for drinks and catch up, but not really wanting to date long distance. Since I don't get up there often. The last time I was up there my KU flag was torn off my car, I'm glad my window didn't break too, since it was so cold.

Last week I also had lunch with my old friend, Tyler. We went to Subway. It was nice to catch up with him. I told him, since he works with computers, to come out and fix mine. He also showed me his new car he just got. Blue Jeep Liberty. It's very nice. Tomorrow he's umpiring at Scott so we're going to hang out before and after the game. I'm exciting. I haven't seen any of the summer games yet this summer. Give me a chance to work a little on my tan while watching too, especially since I have tomorrow off. I was supposed to have today off, but an idiot new staff working a 24 Hour care group home got into a wreck and possible broke her wrist. Not a very good first day on the job, but it was her own fault. I was told she was driving, and 8:30, so it's almost dark, on her way to Walmart to get some Tussin for a client of ours with no lights on. She decided to clean off her windows and since she could see through the bugs and fluid she turned wrong and right into a light pole. I know the girl personally, not the brightest star in the sky, but I never would have guessed she was this stupid! Plus she was in her own car! Company will pay for her medical bills, but not for the car. I don't know why she didn't use the company van, but who knows! Any way I was asked to go over early to help cover her shift, and then they had a call in, so I had to work 16 hours yesterday/ today with no lunch or dinner breaks. I was so hungry by the time I got off work. Plus I found out that Dawn, a DSM, quit, and my boss, Barb, turned into their 2 weeks notices! Honestly I'm glad to see Barb, especially after I got her in trouble for not doing or filing paperwork. I'd love to get the DSM position, since I know I'm qualified, but living in the sticks an hour from work it's too hard. Maybe when I get a little more saved, and some more bills paid off I can move to Garden. I actually thought about talking to Debbie, our ED, cause they've helped others in this situation. Plus I'm almost ready to get my benefits and I need to go talk to Debbie anyway for my 60 day interview.
Also, I called and talked to my good buddy Josh! He's planning on moving in with Ryan, his friend. He let me talk to Ryan for a while. I really, really enjoyed our little talk. He said he might take me to DCRP, I think that sounds awesome, said he had family in Dodge. I'm glad he's a sports buff like me, it's a good way to always keep a conversation going. Since there's so many different types of sporting events. I went and saw the Olympics website, on NBC and there are sporting events on there that I didn't think about. Shooting and archery, and lots of others. I like Swimming, gymnastics, and track the best to watch! What can I say each of those have HOT HOT HOT men in tight little uniforms! Have you seen the arms on some of those men?! OMG WOW HOT WOW!! Anyway, I really hope he calls me, Ryan again. I'd like to talk with him more, and he's really funny too. It's not fair though, Josh showed him photos of me but I have yet to know what he looks like.
OMG, I almost forgot! HAPPY Belated INDEPENDENCE DAY!! My friend, Jason, sent me a photo of the fireworks he bought! OMG WOW!! I think he lit up the town that night! I would have loved to see them, maybe next year. He told me he's going to try to come out and see me in either August or September! I can't wait! Should be so much fun! I can't wait! We'll go out and hit the town!
I think I'm gonna change my background again too, but I'm not sure to what yet. Who knows, maybe I'll get creative, lol!

Cast Away!!

I finally got my cast off yesterday!! I'm so happy and excited! My friend Tyler was making fun of me, he told me I was too happy to be wearing two shoes again! lol! I told him to shut up!

Work is going really great! Especially now that I can do it better. We're throwing a surprise birthday party for one of my clients, Lori. Her birthday is Friday. We're having a picnic type party. Annette is going to either bring fireworks or take them all to the fair grounds for the big show. Be cheaper to take them to the show, but that's just my thinking. I told them I would bring a relish dish, so that there is something nutritious there. I have to go in early tomorrow but only 30 minutes, but I get off 30 minutes early too. Friday I was too a double shift again! Yes it's gonna suck ass again but I need the overtime.

Dad is working a lot lately, harvest hours started about a week ago. I told mom that I would cook supper for them tonight, I'm making my famous spaghetti and meatballs.

Mom is working on the new baby blanket for Helen's baby boy. She works on it at home and while waiting for dad to get off work, since they car pool together. It should be a nice blanket, three sades of blue and one white. Mom said she's not happy about having another boy, she wanted a girl. I told mom that not all kids are alike and maybe he'll be worse, mom cracked up laugh and said that my two brothers both said the same thing. lol! Nice to know that the smartest folks in the family still think alike. Anyway, mom said they may come up to see up this weekend! DAMN! Just want a need, a bitchy pregnant woman in the house. I can't wait. If she can't come up this weekend then it won't be til after the baby is born! Aww Shucks! Breaks my little ice boxed heart!
Mom and dad's anniversary is Friday as well! I think it's going to be there...27th? I don't know if that's right but it's close. I know Jason is 27 now and he was just a baby when they married. Yeah cause he's five years older then me, until October. I got them a card, but that's it. I don't know what else to do since I'll be working and dads in harvest. IDK! I'm gonna try to change my profiles so that they're all patriotic for the holiday! Wish me luck!

If I don't tell y'all before the, Happy Independence Day! And please everyone be safe!
