New Beginnings

Well some may know that today our local Sam's opened. I was very glad to have this morning off at Walmart. I talked to Doug, a co worker at Walmart, and he felt that it was going to be very busy cause people would go to Sam's yes to see what they have but feel that it may be too expensive or decide that they don't need that item in bulk and come back to Walmart. I felt it was going to be slow at Walmart, I'll find out tomorrow when I go in, I'll ask Kris or Amanda. I did get my time change at Walmart approved. starting November 1st. I start working evenings. I think it will be a good change. It's too hard to try to work 11pm to 7am at Mosaic and then early boring mornings at Walmart. I figured this way I can work Walmart, and use Mosaic to kinda relax and settle down and then drive home for some rest after a very long night.
Speaking of Mosaic, it's going very well. I really enjoy working the over night shift. I love having Lori as my supervisor and I work with an elderly woman every night named Connie and she's very nice and funny. We seem to get alone great. It's very easy work, sometimes it's just hard to try to stay awake when you have nothing to do. I'm glad there's a TV and computer to help past the time.
We also had out Annual Boo at the Zoo on October 18th. Our them was Disaster at Sea. Pirate inspired. We went through 29 large bags of Tootsie Rolls! It was a lot of fun, but it was also very cold. Yesterday morning while driving home I had to drive in my first snow storm on the season. Oh how I haven't missed those. Of course none of the snow stayed, it melted as soon at it landed but it's supposed to be fairly warm this weekend. Great time to thaw out before the frost comes.
Some of you may remember me speaking of a man named Scott. He works at Subway as a store manager. He's super sweet. Well we've been hanging out a lot lately and we've decided to try dating. I've known him from high school days. He went to Garden and I went to Scott. I actually meet him at a debate tournament and we were against each other. It was a case of WMD's. My case was flawless. It was that the bull dozers in South America were killing the rain forests that the animals and natives live in. The bull dozer was the WMD. Tree, plants, animals, and people needed them for food and survival. It was an awesome case. Well in the end I my partner and I won the round and we spent the rest of the tournament talking and getting to know each other. We've been friends ever since, not super close though. Well when I moved back I went to eat at a Subway just down the street from the offices and I was like dude I know you. We hit it back off, and caught up and been best friends ever since. He's a great guy. He's got two roommates, Jamie and John. John recently got back from Iraq and is slowing returning to his life as an Army Reserve civilian. He seems to be readjusting well. He's kinda shy though, so is Jamie. I'm sure a few more visits from me and that'll change. No need to be shy around me, after all I do bath people for a living. I know it's not always the same but I'm not very modest so it doesn't bother me. We're going out Monday night. We were going to go bowling tonight but due to the crazy weather changes people have been calling in sick, so he had to work. No worries, I remember being a manager and never having free time and what very little time I got was used for sleeping or catching up on paper work. I don't know what he's got planned but whatever is fine.
I talked with mom and I only own like 600 left on my car so I'm gonna use the next two months to pay it off and hopefully a new car will be my Christmas present to myself! Hopefully my car will last that long, I think that either the fuel filter or fuel pump is going out. It's completely full of gas right now but acts like it's got nothing in it. I hooked the OBD-II up to it and there wasn't any system codes reported so I don't know was else it could be if it's not those. I'm gonna replace the filter first, less expensive and then see what else happens. I don't want to put too much money into especially if I'm just gonna trade it in. My car is actually sitting at Scott's right now. I've been using one of my mother's vans, he drove me home to get it the other night.
On a rather sad note. I'm sorry to say that my Great Aunt Mary Alice died. She was 92. This was my grandmother's oldest and last living sister. She took it very bad! With her mental state it was hard to watch as well. I hate to say it but I don't think my grandmother is going to live too much longer. She only weighs about 89 pounds and hardly eats. She can't remember anyone or anything. I pray she lives for many more years, but it to me it would be worse not knowing even your own age or name, which is what is currently happening. Someone asked her how old she was at the funeral as she rattled off her birthday but didn't know how old she was.
Also another sad note. My Great Uncle Guy is very ill. They gave him less then one month to live. He's down to 60 pounds and won't eat anything. I pray that The Lord will end all those who are suffering and take them to safer places.

It's Back!

I got some bad news on Wednesday. My doctor called me and told me that I had abnormal results in my toxic screen for HPV. This is a virus that I thought I thought I got rid of when I was 13. It attacks the kidneys, ovaries, and is the leading cause of cervical cancer. Recently I've been really cold, and tired and this is probably why. I have to have surgery on November 3rd. and they're going to remove a sample of my cervix and test it for cancerous cells. If it comes back positive then they may have to take my cervix out completely. They had wanted to do that when I was 13 but I mom said no. There's a lot of pain, but the only thing I can take is Advil or Aleve.
Work is going really well at Mosaic. I started working the 11pm to 7am shift. I like it, not as physically hard. I have to talk to Walmart, cause I may need to leave for a while, but I want to be able to come back. With my pain it's hard to bend and such, maybe I could move to working in a less physically demanding position like a clothing stoker or greeter for a while, but idk.

Trip!

As many of you know this last weekend I got to go on a mini vacation! I was so super excited. I left after work on Thursday night, I stopped in Cimmaron to see Eric and drop off his sunglasses that he had left in my car. He doing very well, and he told me that he was going to see a friend in Ashland and have a guys night in of drinking and such. Sounded like fun, and after talking with him afterwards he agreed it was. I left his place around 11:30. I only stopped once more after that, in Pratt. I was kinda tired and I had told mom and Josh that if I got too tired I was going to pull over here in Pratt and rest a while. I stopped at a local gas station and saw that they had those 5 hour energy shots that I'd seen on TV. I've always wondered if they actually work so, never believing they would of course. So I got the Extra Strength one, and a cappuccino. I got out to my car and decided to try the shot first. I chugged it. It wasn't the tastiest thing but nonetheless not the worse I've ever tried. Then I chugged about half of my cappuccino. I started to drive out of town and about two miles down the road something kicked in and OMG y'all I was so hyper/ energized it was amazing. I'm not sure if it was the shot or the shot and cappuccino or what but if they or that combo works that well I'm gonna buy a years supply. I got to Wichita at about 2:15 am, Friday morning. I was surprised to find that when I had called Joshua that he was still awake. I went to see him at his folks house and was still hyper. I finally told Joshua at about 4:30 that I had to lay down, I wasn't tired but I knew that a crash was going to happen and I wanted to be prepare for it. I doubt that I was laying there for more then about 10 minutes cause the next thing I knew Joshua was asking me to get breakfast at about 7 am. After breakfast I dropped Joshua off and went over to see Jesse, and Henry the dog. I wasn't hungry but he was so I went with him to Spangles so he could eat brunch. He had class at 11 so I went ahead to my hotel. It was still early but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask to see if I could check in early, and I did. They told me the room I had reserved wasn't open but they had another room, smaller but good enough for one person. I said sure. They gave me a small discount for the inconvenience and they room cost me a lot less too. I was very pleased to hear that. I stayed in room 137 at Motel 6.
I took a nap for about two hours and then got up to get ready for my date with Rion. Y'all I gotta say that he has the most amazing blue eyes that I've ever seen!!! I know it probably sounds cheesy but I'd need a map or I'd get lost in them. We went to Carlos O'Kellys for dinner and then to Towne West to see a movie. We watched Dark Knight: Batman. I'd seen it before, but he hadn't. That damn movie room was so damn cold!! I was shivering the whole movie, and I think I had a broken seat cause I kept slipping down out of it. and for the record I didn't fall asleep during the show! He thinks I did but I didn't. We were gonna drive around for a bit afterwards but my friend Jason had called and said he was on the way to get me so he just took me back to my room. Jason picked me up about 10:30 and took me to Club Rodeo. He'd never been there and I love seeing drink men in wranglers getting on a bull for 8 seconds. I danced a few line dances and I even talked Jason into doing the Cotton Eye Joe just before we left. For the first time a city white boy dancing it wasn't too bad. He just needs more practice. lol! After we left about 1:00 am we went to eat breakfast and then he dropped me off back at my room. I called Joshua the next morning about 8am so that he could come get his $50 from me. Jason had given it to me the night before, for his ticket to the show that night. He came and got it and invited me to breakfast and lunch with his family and I said no cause it was a family affair and that I would be uncomfortable. I told Rion that I wouldn't go to his either, he asked the night before. About 11 I called Susan and went to El Dorado to visit with her. I do feel for her. Her children are putting her through hell, and they don't even care. She's such a strong woman and I hope that she can find a way to deal with everything. Thoughts and Prays are with her and her family. I ended up driving her daughter, Sarah, to the zoo so that she wasn't there to be bothering her mom.
I got back about 1:30 and got lunch and then went back to my room to take another nap and got up about 3:30 pm to get ready for the show. Jason got there at 4:30 and since I was still fixing my hair he called Joshua to see what time to pick him up. He said 5:30 pm. Jason and I went to the mall really quick to get him a new shirt, and left to get Joshua. I still don't know what exactly happened, but Joshua texted me and said never mind that he would meet us there. It pissed me off, one we had already made the plans for the three of us to eat together and go to the show. I really wanted to have dinner together so that Jason and Joshua could get to know each other before the show. Would make the show a little less awkward, two strangers sitting together for 3 hours, ya know. The show was excellent! I love Jeff Dunham and all his characters. The opening act, Brian Haner, Guitar Guy, was so funny. I got Brian's CD, a Walter "Shut the Hell Up" shirt, and an Achmed " I kill you" dog tag. Jason drove me home, and I went to sleep. The next morning, Sunday. I went to church and then tried to call Joshua to see when we would go to the Zoo. Since I didn't hear from him I ended up going with Jesse, Amanda his girlfriend, and Jenny her friend. Y'all I have to say that my legs were killing me by the time I finished walking that whole place. I don't think it would have been so bad but I had flip flops on instead of tennis shoes. I got a hat and a shirt from the zoo. I asked Rion and Joshua to meet me for dinner somewhere that night so we could talk about some issues. We meet at Spangles and talked a little outside before eatting inside. I still feel that there is something that isn't being said. They both know that I'm the type of person that if I'm mad at you I'm gonna say I'm mad at you. If I think you're being a stupid dumb ass I'll tell you to your face. I don't hide anything, and I think there's something left that needs to be said that isn't getting out. But idk, I guess I'll wait and see. That night Joshua, Rion and I went to Cy's and played a few games of pool. Rion and I had a beer. I think Rion was cheating, knocking balls in when I wasn't looking. Joshua needs lots of practice. I went back to my room that night and watched TV and packed most of my bags so that all I had to do was put my shampoo and pjs in there and zip and load them in the morning. I slept in until about 9:30. I tried to fix my hair, which idk I tried cause when I opened my door it looked like a waterfall as over my room door. I loaded my car and went to Andover to eat lunch with Susan and then went to El Dorado. I got to see my niece, and nephews. Y'all Daniel is so damn cute!! I also got Lucy, she's a Welsh Corgi. She's so pretty and I brought her home with me. I had dinner again with Rion and Joshua before I left, we went to Jason's Deli. I only stopped a few times on the way back home, so that Lucy could run a little and go potty. I stopped to say hello to Eric once more too, and then left for home. I got back about 11 pm and went straight to bed. I unpacked the car the next day.
It was a great trip and I can't wait to get down there again. I'm saddened that I didn't get to see Jeff or Robert or Nadine or Steve, but maybe next trip.
I gotta thank, Josh, Rion, and especially Jason and Jesse for making it such wonderful trip!
